I had never canned before but I've canned something every week since receiving it. It is easy to use, mine came with the optional kit which I highly recommend since they make things a lot easier (funnel, a thing to transfer hot jars with, a magnetic rod to retrieve lids with, etc). I've made jelly, jams, butter, and canned tons of tomatoes and peppers that I've grown this summer. I'll be using this item a lot in the future also. I can't say how fast it arrived since I didn't get it from Amazon but I have ordered a lot of other stuff from them over the years and I've never had a problem that they didn't fix immediately.

This canner works beautifully on flat-topped (glass) stoves! It's large enough to can 7 quarts at a time. I've done applesauce, apple butter, pickles, pickle relish, tomato ketchup, and plum jam. I highly recommend it!
