A good way for vegetables to retain their nutrients and color is to steam them as opposed to boiling them. Simply insert this steamer into a 3.8 quart pot (POT3202 or POT320) and the boiling water in the receiving pot provides hot steam to the steamer above. Use the recieving pot's cover on the steamer above to seal in maximum heat.  The matching double boiler insert is also listed below.

Be careful of the sharp pot lids! - charm of the Chesapeake -
I bought this product last fall and ended up taking the set back. I was really looking for a nice Farberware set with the straining lids. I've had an old set of Farberware for probably 30 years and it's been very serviceable, but I was slowly losing pieces.

The new pots are definitely not the same quality that I had in my old pots. The poorly constructed lids were just not acceptable. The inside of the lid didn't seem to be properly finished or "rolled." The edge was quite sharp on a few of the pots. You would have to be very careful every time you washed those pots. I'm just too busy to worry about safety when washing pots!
