Many of us know the name Farberware from either our parents or grandparents. While the original products made by Farberware, are built to last through the next century, the newest additions to their line of cookware seem to be more geared to people looking for an all-in-one set. By no means am I saying this is a bad product, in fact I think that this set will last a good 10-15 years. But like most people, I believe the biggest downfall is the amount of material used in makeing the pots and pans. Today's set is not as thick as pervioius sets. Basically what this means is that instead of lasting for 50-60 years, that is not an exageration, you will probably buy something newer within 10 years. But lets face in 10 years you would probably buy something new anyways.

Otherwise this set is perfect for most people. The handles wont heat up and burn you, the pots themselves will last longer then you would expect, very nice mirror finish, and when you get them on sale it becomes and unbelievable vaule.

I have always liked the Farberware cookware for over 30 years. The steel pots are perfect. I am not crazy about the non-stick ones, wish they had covers too, and a bit heavier. Besides, I don't care for non-stick surface as much because it could leave toxins after a scratch. I like the glass lids, they are easier to clean. The size of most pots in this set is fairly small which you may not realize from the size provided in quarts, but appropriate for a small household's kitchen. Overall, it's a pretty good quality set for the price compared to all those other brands with highly inflated prices.

Love the pots. The same great quality of my original set 43 years ago. Was, however, disappointed with the glass covers. They do not offer the same seal, I get with my old set. The one advantage I have found with the glass covers, is being able to see when my liquid is boiling.

I am looking forward to many years of service from my new set of pots.

Hard anodized calphalon is better! I am still a fan of Farberware but the exterior coating on this set scratches very easily so it looses its look that way but It's the inside that matters the most and it works great!
